Expert Books: Author Chair

Last week we finished up our non-fiction writing unit. Each student wrote an incredible expert book on a topic that they knew a lot about. We had everything from How to Train a Puppy and Hockey to Camping and Hair Styles! Their books included a Table of Contents, Chapters, Headings, Pictures, Labels and a Glossary at the end. After reading loads of non-fiction books and learning about these text features, they did an amazing job applying that knowledge to their own books!
